An intelligent electronic eye PDF Print E-mail

Danish manufacturer JAI says combining electronic eyes and electronic brains has been part of its strategic thinking for more than a decade. The company feels that concept is put into real context with the new ThinkEye product line.

A next generation intelligent camera, the ThinkEye is the result of a joint development between JAI and European companies Stemmer Imaging and Asentics. The product is a complete stand-alone vision solution based on a PowerPC processor with floating point unit.
The first member of the ThinkEye product family, the TE-100, has a resolution of 659x494 pixels using a monochrome, progressive scan CCD sensor. The unit is housed in an anodized aluminum case sealed to IP65/NEMA 4X, making it ideal for factory floor applications.
For more information on the ThinkEye product line visit www.jai.com/thinkeye.
