Software creates robots that can 'see' PDF Print E-mail

Isaac Asimov's vision of a humanoid robot that performs human activities might be the stuff of science fiction, but a new software from Braintech, Inc. could give manufacturing robots Œeyes.'

Braintech is touting its new eVision factory software as "artificial intelligence for real-life solutions." It can help companies reduce the unplanned downtime of critical robotic systems and optimize robotic workflow.
The software, according to Braintech, is an open, integrated environment used by Braintech's professionals to develop and deploy robust, highly-supported robotic systems for Braintech's clients. The software also embeds updateable automation expertise and artificial intelligence, which could yield continued workflow benefits. Check it out at www.braintech.com.
