Advanced technology helps provide accurate component positioning PDF Print E-mail

Developed for military and aerospace applications, the new family of compact, external-mount transducers from Transducers Direct can provide accurate competent positioning on industrial machinery.

The company says the easy-to-install transducers feature a low-profile housing and can offer positioning linearity to 0.5 percent and a repeatability of 0.0001 inches. The transducers are designed for travels of 0.5 inches to 78 inches, and can provide repeatable positioning for injection molding machines, robots, assembly equipment, die casting machines, printing machinery and hydraulic/pneumatic cylinders.
Transducers Direct says it built the sensors to survive in "unfriendly" shop floor environments, with the ability to ignore electrical noise and magnetic interference. Check it out at www.transducersdirect.com.
