New hollow shaft device can support its own weight PDF Print E-mail

Hohner Corp. says its new 13 bit parallel absolute Grey/Binary code hollow shaft encoder, can count up to 8192 with selectable direction clockwise or counter clockwise.

The 90 Series Absolute Encoder is available with shafts up to 60 mm in diameter and can support it's own weight of 4 kg. It can operate on a 12 - 24V DC supply and has a standard cable connection or a 9516 (16 pin) plug connector.
Some additional features include: variable resolutions up to 4096 with an option for selectable zero position; and a maximum frequency of 20kHz (on LSB) depending on resolution and maximum RPM. Check it out at
