Automation trade show continues to grow PDF Print E-mail
More than 31,856 people from 101 countries attended the biennial AUTOMATICA trade event, which took place June 10-13 at the New Munich Trade Fair Centre.  More than 850 exhibitors from 41 countries presented their product innovations and services on 32,000 square metres of exhibition space over five halls in the fields of assembly and handling technology, robotics, machine vision and associated technologies. Both the number of visitors and exhibitors were increases from the 2006 event.

Attendees were impressed, according to a independently conducted survey. Ninety-five per cent said they would be coming back to AUTOMATICA in 2010, and 97 per cent of them said they would be recommending the event to others. The trade visitors were particularly impressed by the breadth and depth of the range, and by the presence of the market leaders, with more than 90 per cent of visitors giving the show a rating of “excellent to good.

“The portfolio of AUTOMATICA represents a good platform for [our company] as a systems user. This is an efficient forum where we can discuss solutions with our suppliers — from individual components through to the application of entire systems,” said Arne Lakeit, Head of Overall Planning at Audi Deutschland.

The next AUTOMATICA takes place June 8-11, 2010.
