General Jack's command

 

Jack Welch, who recently retired as CEO of General Electric, is one of the most influential business people of his generation. "Don't manage. Lead" is one of Welch's fundamental business principles. We invited John Ballis, a lean manufacturing author to comment on Jack Welch's call for leadership. John Ballis is CEO of FlowCycle, a Dallas, Texas based lean consulting firm. He's also the author of "Managing Flow."
