Product Description: Exemplary's flagship product, cX, is a real-time replenishment architecture that accelerates lean transformation of the extended supply chain. - Inbound Material Replenishment - synchronizes supply and demand, and optimizes inventories for both buyers and suppliers, thus orchestrating a win-win relationship.
- Production Replenishment - creates a level production plan and enables manufacturers to dynamically readjust the plan based on consumption.
cX eliminates waste by providing up-to-the minute information to all supply chain partners, decision tools for early warning, exception handling, simulation and corrective action, and built-in analytics. Due to a great degree of configurability, it provides both immediate payback and long-term value: fast implementation, continuous performance improvement and low total cost of ownership. Exemplary customers enjoy leaner inventory, increased turns and accelerated cycle times.
COMPANY DESCRIPTION:
Exemplary was created in 1998 to further the development of a revolutionary, real-time data management architecture started at Hewlett-Packard Labs in 1991. Joel Birnbaum - the former head of IBM Research's Computer Science Department who brought the RISC architecture to HP - sponsored this early project. Led by two of its founders, Moshe Zloof, Ph.D and Ravi Krishnamurthy, Ph.D., the new company's mission was to create a high-performance platform for process-driven, mission-critical applications. In 2000, Exemplary decided to apply this technology to the real-time supply chain. Venture funding provided by Lightspeed Venture Partners, Discovery Venture (Arnold Silvermann), JT Ventures, Clearstone Venture Partners, and Woodside Fund.
